NASTUMLA!

tejal0

The museum hosted 40 kids at our Spring 2017 NASTUMLA "Survival Skills" Camp! NASTUMLA is Native American Science & Technology Using Materials, Land, Art. Kids participated in various activities such as painting with rocks, cordage making, throwing atlatl, and flint knapping. They were also engaged in discussing the Horn Shelter Exhibit and our Natural History Collections over a two-day period.

The kids also made journals to document their findings throughout the camp. If you get a chance to meet any of these campers, you'll be impressed with what they've learned to do.

Thanks to our Camp Leaders: Kathy Cash & Eric Vanderbeck and our museum volunteers: Emily Neal, Nelda Ramsey, Nancy Haenisch, Mimi Wright, & Peggy Berry.
