The Joseph Olson Log Cabin is the childhood home of

Jacob Olson (1854-1937), founder of the Bosque Museum.  It was built by his father, Joseph in 1866.

The cabin was moved to the museum grounds in 1985 when efforts were made to preserve and restore the walls and interior. 

Improvements continue to be made to the log cabin.  In 2015, a cover was placed over the cabin to protect it.
